Energy & Environment

Sheladia‘s work in the energy sector focuses on policy, feasibility studies to assess the alternatives in renewable energy, waste minimization and clean technologies, dams and hydropower, design specifications review, detailed design review, pre-qualification of contractors, preparation of tender documents, assistance in the tendering process, procurement assistance, and construction management. Our most recent work entails a study for a 10 MW waste-to-energy facility in Karachi, Pakistan, where the goal was to recommend the most cost-efficient method for converting city waste to electricity. Under ADB funding in Pakistan, Sheladia is currently serving as Project Engineer and providing project management/construction management services to the Sarhad Hydel Development Organization (SHYDO), Government of NWFP in the development of the Ranolia Hydro Power Plant, a 17 MW facility located north of Mingora in Swat District. Sheladia also is part of a consortium led by Booz Allen Hamilton to provide professional technical services to MCC for assessments and evaluation of energy infrastructure projects, which are candidates for funding by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
