The World Bank Group intends to design and build a new country office in Brazzaville, the Republic of Congo. This undertaking is a confirmation of the World Bank’s commitment to assisting the people and the government of the Republic of Congo towards their joint goals (as laid out in the Country Partnership Strategy) of streamlining and reforming the national governance policies along with economic diversification, improved social outcomes, and youth empowerment.
Sheladia Associates, Inc. will provide Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Supervision services for the project. In order to ensure that the project aligns with the World Bank’s Country Partnership Strategy and overall mission, Sheladia Associates will emphasize four pillars of sustainability: social, cultural, environmental, and economic. Sheladia has partnered with a local architectural firm to assist in the development of a culturally inspired, environmentally friendly design, and intends to procure local construction materials, local labor, and additional local expertise as needed to create a uniquely Congolese country office.
Sheladia is also currently providing Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Supervision Services for the new World Bank Country Office in Kabul, Afghanistan, and recently completed work on the new country offices in Laos PDR. Building upon this experience, Sheladia is excited and committed to providing quality work for the World Bank staff in Brazzaville, the Republic of Congo.
